TULSION® MB-115: High-Capacity Mixed Bed Resin for Ultra Pure Water and TDS Reduction
TULSION® MB-115 is a high-quality, high-capacity mixed bed resin designed for the direct purification of water to achieve ultra pure water with nearly complete reduction of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). Combining TULSION® T-46 in Hydrogen form (a strongly acidic cation exchange resin) and TULSION® A-33 in Hydroxide form (a strongly basic Type I anion exchange resin) in a 1:1.5 volume ratio, this resin mixture is ideal for use in both regenerable and non-regenerable cartridges, as well as large ion exchange units.
TULSION® MB-115 is particularly suitable for applications requiring ultra pure water, such as in the electronics industry, including the manufacturing of semiconductors and television tubes. The resin’s high capacity and excellent physical properties ensure reliable performance in these critical applications. When water is passed through TULSION® MB-115 at recommended flow rates, it achieves near-complete TDS reduction, with residuals producing average conductivity values of approximately 0.1 µS/cm for a significant portion of the service run. The service life can be extended depending on the final water quality requirements.
This resin mixture also allows for equivalent volumes of ultra pure water to be obtained after regeneration, provided that sufficient quantities of regenerant are employed to achieve the percentage conversion levels equivalent to those of the "as supplied" resin. Economically acceptable capacity and quality are achieved even at lower regeneration levels, making TULSION® MB-115 a cost-effective solution for long-term water purification needs.
