Are you local and struggling to diagnose an issue with your domestic Autotrol Water Softener or domestic Autotrol Softener Valve?
We can now offer a tailored in house service where you can drop off your softener or valve for us to look at, diagnose, fix or replace.
Please note, this service is strictly by appointment only as we do NOT have a trade counter.
How it works:
Call us to go through the issues you are experiencing with your water softener - More often than not, we are able to diagnose and resolve the issue over the phone.
If we are unable to resolve the issue over the phone, your valve or softener requires parts to fix and you are uncomfortable in undertaking the work yourself, Don't worry, we can do it for you.
We will take the diagnosis service payment over the phone and proceed to get you booked in, allowing you to drop off the valve/machine at a convenient time.
We will spend an hour testing the valve/softener and diagnosing the issues. The hour does not include regenerations we undertake - only actual time spent working on the valve/softener.
Once diagnosed, we will call you with an update and will quote you for any parts and labour needed in order to get the issue resolved.
We will also provide you with a quote for a new replacement valve or a new softener so you can have all the options available.
If agreed to fix your valve/softener, we will take a card payment over the phone.
We will then raise the job on our side and proceed in fixing your valve/softener.
Once we have fixed your valve/softener, we will fully test it ensure it is working as it should be.
When we are happy that your valve/softener has been fixed, fully tested and is ready, we will contact you to schedule a day and time that is convenient for you to collect.
If you decide to purchase a new valve or a new softener, then we will take a payment over the phone and proceed with your order.
If opting for a new replacement valve, it may need to be ordered in from the factory - we will advise if this is the case.
We will call you when your new valve/softener is ready to be collected.
Here at Wrekin Water, our top priority is customer service. We always advise our customers as honestly as we can. We want you to have the best products and service possible.
We will do whatever we can to fix the issue with the valve or the softener however if we are unable to fix the issues, we would offer quotes for complete replacement valves, reconditioned machines (if we have any) or a new softener.
When we call you with the diagnostics update, we will go through all available options with you.

Initial up to 1 Hour Diagnostics (actual time spent on diagnosing the issue - Not including time when it is in regeneration mode)
£90+VAT
Parts - All individually priced
Labour - £50+VAT per hour (after the initial hour of diagnostics - actual time spent on the repair - Not including time when it is in regeneration mode)
Postage with Parcel Force (If requested after a repair - although not advised incase there is damage in transit) From £10+VAT (depending on the weight)
